Liberal TreeHugger

I am a conservative but unlike the current breed of "conservatives" I do not believe that the Republican Party is conservative. The current administration is hell bent on spending money taking away rights and playing a shell game with our taxes. I am starting this post to be a direct assault on the radical conservative movement that seeks to distort the record, lie and dupe the American voters into believing they care, are right, and are conservative.

I am NOT Gay

Look just because a grown man wants to meet strangers in a bathroom and solicit them for sex, it doesn't make them gay. I tell you, the moral compass of this nation is way off when it is deemed wrong for a man to plea guilty, try to hide an arrest from his wife and kids, constituents and the press. I mean what is really criminal is that a police officer is sitting in an airport stall cruising for men looking for illicit sex. Bathrooms are so sexy to begin with. It is almost wrong to let so many men congregate where they are pulling down pants and whipping out units. All the mirrors and towels. It's enough to make a straight man (clearly Sen Craig is NOT GAY!) want to try and get sex from a stranger. Another point I'd like to make is that unless Sen Craig was "catching" he isn't gay. Allowing a strange man to lick one's balls in a bathroom stall is perfectly manly and not the least bit gay unless you are the one licking. So stop calling for the resignation of this completely hetero-sexy senator! Whom among you have not tried to do the exact same thing? That's what I thought. Gay bashers, er I mean not gay but man on man anonymous sex seeking bashers.

Our National Example

The current record holder for vacation-time is the late Ronald Reagan, who ate jellybeans and dreamed of killing orphans a total of 436 days in his two terms. Bush is going to beat that if he keeps up this pace. He has currently amassed 418 days, with 17 months to go in his presidency. Bush vacations like a Frenchman.

Wake-Up Call

In a tragic event, a bridge spanning the Mississippi failed and collapsed.
The White House reaction was:

The Interstate 35W span rated 50 on a scale of 120 for structural stability, White House press secretary Tony Snow said.
"This doesn't mean there was a risk of failure, but if an inspection report identifies deficiencies, the state is responsible for taking corrective actions,"

"Doesn't mean there is a risk of failure", uhhhhm yes it does. Obviously it does. There are hundreds of bridges in use by the people we love that are similarly rated. Does that mean that we have a potential for collapse of hundreds of bridges?

I think it does.

Instead of spending our taxes on repairing American bridges, we are pouring $4,000.00 PER SECOND into Iraq.
What more can I say?
