Liberal TreeHugger

I am a conservative but unlike the current breed of "conservatives" I do not believe that the Republican Party is conservative. The current administration is hell bent on spending money taking away rights and playing a shell game with our taxes. I am starting this post to be a direct assault on the radical conservative movement that seeks to distort the record, lie and dupe the American voters into believing they care, are right, and are conservative.

US House gets it right for once

The US House of Representatives on Friday passed a wiretap surveillance bill which President George W. Bush has vowed to veto, deepening a standoff over anti-terror espionage powers.

I think that it is insulting to American's to have their president lie to us and then try to go back after the fact and make things legal that were never legal to begin with. I think Bush is trying to scare Americans so that he can complete his power grab.

I know that I'm supposed to be quaking with the prospect of TERROR but really now, it isn't working. I think the only thing Bush said that I agree with is "bring it on" in regard to the terrorists. Let's fight them here instead of going after them.

I mean the dollar is weak enough now to justify staying at home. We need to bring the troops back home and start rebuilding America and making it the"Land of the Free and Home of the Brave" again. Not the "Land of the Surveiled and Home of the Terrorized" as W would like it.

Did I mention that I can't wait for him to be out of office? How many more days? Damn...

Oh Elliot

I think it is sad that all of the great things Mr. Spitzer accomplished are going to be relegated to the dustbin of history because his libido and ego were more powerful than his sense of morality.
I think it's sad to see someone who just wanted to have sex with an extreeeeeeeemly attractive, willing, pliable and enthusiastic woman for money ruined because it is a crime in that state to pay for sex.
A lesser man would have just gone home to his beautiful but somewhat bitchy wife and shagged like the carpet we all had in 1974.
Too bad Elliot. I'll miss your contribution.
I'd also like to point out that if this had happened in Washington D.C. he would already be re-elected and working on his 2012 presidential bid. Those folks forgive EVERYTHING.
